Professional Certificate in Instructional Design

This program is to help you acquire the basic competencies you will need to succeed in an entry-level instructional design role. This program differs from many others in that it focuses on the analysis of performance and the design of instructional solutions, utilizing best practices from learning science, and focuses less on learning authoring tools and actually building out the instructional solutions. The curriculum is derived from skills that are frequently requested in job ads posted by leading universities, corporations that hire internal training specialists, and private organizations. An important component of the program is the development of a professional portfolio of work samples. This portfolio will include important pieces of design documentation and an annotated instructional module that you will build. You will work on the final project throughout the program, completing different components along the way. You will also receive feedback on critical components of your portfolio and project to help you develop a strong showing for potential employers.
